Dedicated to the memory of beautiful June Peel.

This site is a tribute to June Peel. Please feel free to contribute and share your own tribute to our lovely June, light a candle, share memories.

June was a much loved wife, mum, grandma, great granny and aunty. June loved nothing more than being surrounded by the many children in the family and often said she preferred the company of children to adults.

June was a keen gardener and will be remembered for her gardening, the most green fingered person any of us knew. She especially enjoyed the huge lillies that she grew every year.

June was a funny lady, very wise and didn't miss a thing. She loved eating ice cream and Kali and enjoyed treating all the great grandchildren to something in the sweet shop.

June loved music and dancing and always had mudic in the background, sharing her varied tastes with us all. June will always be remembered with love and fondness by everyone that knew her. Once met, never forgotten.

Night before your funeral Mum, we had some nice chats. Love and miss you more than words can express. Xxx

How has it almost been a full week without you? A week without seeing those eyes look at me with a tilt of the head as if it say ‘come on what have you done now’ or ‘I love you’. We would never know if we were going to be in trouble or not. You and I have been through similar life experiences and it made us closer. We would take about anything and everything no subject off limits. You didnt miss anything, you were always watching people and noticing things others didn’t. Oh how I will miss watching and hearing you laugh and play with Tilly and Freddie. How are there not going to be anymore trips to Tesco to buy some tinned fruit, tomatoes on the vine, bananas and of course you telling me to go and choose some chocolate for the kids. We all love you and miss you so much Grandma. I hope you are having fun up there with Grandad bossing him about again and getting him lost. Love you xxx

Grandma, I miss you so incredibly much. Life doesn’t feel the same without you but I’m so grateful for every memory we share together, especially when taking you to the bubble factory on repeat. You loved eating ice-cream and always had mints to hand. You were so proud of your garden and growing beautiful flowers and you loved red roses the most of all. You always said you and I share the same feisty side and that I get it from you and that made us chuckle. I miss your laugh and your bright smile that lit up the room. Luke misses his best friend and partner in crime too. I know you are still with me in my heart and I will cherish the years we had together. I know how lucky we all were to have the best grandma and role model in the world and you will live on through your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren who always provided you with you much happiness. I love you so much and I will look for you in every rainbow and continue taking those risks in your legacy. All our love, Melissa and Luke x
